Goal Setting… The Secret to Success

Yeah yeah… You've heard it all before, but have you actually given it a go? Below I have constructed a tool for you to help find some goals worth achieving in order to work toward self achievement. If you're anything like me, you will never feel like you've had a constructive day, month or year unless you've set yourself some goals, applied yourself and destroyed them…

So here is my method for personal growth…
1. Set Goals that fit the S.M.A.R.T. principal and write a personal contract to yourself for accountability purposes
S pecific
M easurable
A ttainable
R ealistic
T ime-Bound
2. Figure out what standards you will need and make a decision to reach your goals
3. Show up and be purposeful
Now provided your goals fit the SMART guidelines, you will either progress or regress in whatever area of your life that goal is associated with.
Below you will find a handy list of possible goals you can choose from to advance in a number of different areas of your life.

If you answered yes, than one; you are awesome and two; I encourage you to choose one goal from each of the lists below and start working on some progressions for your life.
Mental Growth Goals

Become a Non Smoker within 30 days
Have Muay Thai Fight within 6 months
Brave Heart Warrior Challenge
Tough Mudder
Spartan Race
Go Alcohol and Drug Free for 30 days
Read a book in the next 2 Weeks
Practice a Hobby once per week for 30 days
Run 5 Km
Run 10 Km
Run Half Marathon
Run Marathon
Participate in a Triathlon within the next 6 months
Master 3 Yoga Poses within the next 2 weeks
Try a Self Help Book or Audio in the next 30 days
Practice Meditating, Mindfulness or Prayer 3 times per week for 30 days
20 Minutes Yoga 3 days per week for 30 days
60 Minutes Yoga 2 days per week for 30 days
Call 1 Old Friend or Family Member each week for 30 days
Volunteer 4 Hours to Any Cause You Believe In

Resistance Goals

4 Finger Zipper Test within 3 months
Positive Sit n' Reach Test within 3 months
60 second Deep Squat within 3 months
5 Pull Ups within 30 days
10 Pull Ups within 30 days
1 Muscle Up within 30 days
50 Shuffle Kicks in 1:20
Master 3 Plyometric moves in the next 2 weeks
10 minutes Resistance 5 days per week for 30 days
50 Push Ups within 30 days
1 Arm Push Up within 30 days
10 Second Handstand within 30 days
20 meter Walking Handstand within 30 days
60 second Double Arm Hang within 30 days
15 second Single Arm Hang within 30 days
50 Double Unders (Skipping 1 normal Skip to 2 Cross overs) within 3 months
5 Single Leg Squats both legs
Pistol Squat both legs
Add Sprints to your Routine once per week for 30 days
Learn a New Sport
