Hey guys it's Jared from Fight 4 Life and Today I want to talk to you about Prosperity... Pretty much I'm talking about the things that we need within our own lives in order to be happy with not only our lives, but happy with who we are as people.
Okay, so what exactly made me think of this topic? Well for me personally, the exact moment that I decided to make the switch in my own mindset, and fight my way out of the black hole that was slowly but surely swallowing up every inch of self confidence and self worth that I had, stealing every bit of power and happiness away from me, was when I decided to stop seeing myself as a victim within this big bad world and realized that I was in fact the deciding factor of my own fate.
Now obviously it's been a slow and tedious journey, but the more I learn about human behavior and the more I understand the desire for certain needs within our lives, the more I grow and the better my life becomes. Check out the video below for more on this topic.
So one of the most important lesson that I've learned to date is from the teachings of Anthony Robbins, and it's got to do with the fact that as human beings, we all have 6 Human Needs in order to feel fulfilled as people. Now long story short, we need 4 of these 6 needs in order to feel adequate, and enjoy our lives. These are the fundamental needs and are made up of Certainty, Uncertainty, Significance and Connection.
After we have these fundamental needs in place, if we wish to feel complete as people and truly love everything about our lives, we need the last two needs, the Essential Needs in life, being Growth and Contribution.
Today i want to talk to you about growth, now imagine you are 85 years of age, you've had the best life ever with absolutely no regrets. In order for you to have lived this amazing life and to have reached the ultimate level of fulfillment, you will have had to have had some exceptional standards within your life as well as a tremendous level of growth, in all areas of your life.
Let's talk about self esteem for a minute. In order for you have the highest level of self esteem and self worth towards who you are as a person, you need to continuously grow and progress both physically and emotionally at the very least. The fact of the matter is this, either you grow or you die, growth is life and if we truly wish to maintain our passion for living, then we simply need to progress in life, it's not rocket science...
So why aren't we growing? What's holding us back from moving forward in life?
I see a few things pop up and prevent people from moving forward, and what I've found being the main cause for people not to go anywhere is due to a lack of direction, they have no goal, and no plan of attack. What if you knew what you wanted out of life, that it was as simple as a pure desire to get better at everything that makes up your life, and you had in place a direction toward a passion that would stay with you for the remainder of your life. What if you knew where you wanted to end up, and you knew that it was a massive journey, would you then try to pack your days with productivity and progress toward that destination?
If you're not waking up excited to jam as much of your current life's journey into each and every day, I'm sorry to say, but you will never have the drive to move away from a life of mediocrity and truly prosper.
The next thing I see is, people often don't try new things because they fear failure. Now first you have to dig deep down and figure out, is it truly failure that you are fearing, or is it because you believe that you will reach a point where it's all too hard and you simply give up?
At the end of the day, if you can make a full, solid commitment to seeing something through, and you do come up short, then you need to take this failure and learn from it. Every failure has a lesson to be learned, all you have to do is look for it, then take this and modify your approach to come back stronger and more intelligent for the next attempt, transforming this from a failure to a win.
The thing you need to realize, is that failure is only half of the equation. You need to remember that there is actually a chance that you won't in fact fail, but you can also succeed in whatever it is that you are attempting to achieve. If you can understand that failure is necessary for success, choose to think about the more positive outcome instead of failure, and know in your heart that you are a man or a woman of your word, meaning that you will never quit or give up, then Bob's your uncle, no more fear of failure.
So if you can adopt a growth mindset, then not only will you gain some direction, but provided your journey contains outcomes that you hold a great deal of passion toward achieving, then you will find the drive to get up in the morning, and consistently move toward that goal achieving a sense of achievement, inching you ever closer to feeling fulfilled and experiencing true happiness.
Let's Recap...
In order to feel fulfilled as a human being, and be truly happy with our lives, we need to make sure that we are consistently growing in all areas of who we are as people, especially within our emotional and physical health and conditioning. Provided we have set some goals and planned our approach while not allowing fear to control the outcome of our efforts, then we can continue to take the required action to move forward in life, and earn our own level of fulfillment and overall happiness.
Now I pray that you took some value out of this, so let's have a conversation, I'd really love to know, what exactly did you find most valuable from this particular blog entry? Feel free to drop your answer or any other questions to do with health, fitness and mindset in the comments section below.
