Hey guys it's Jared from Fight 4 Life and today I wanted to show you how to add some variety to your running game to help you stay on top of your physical and mental adaptations. Today I'll be showing you one particular way that you can jazz up a run and turn it into something new and exciting.
So I'm certainly not claiming to be the first coach to have ever utilized this style of running, but I came up with this while I was talking to my sister in law about one of the methods that her trainer uses within their runs.
So what are we doing? You need a few things for this to work.
Regular power poles
2 to 4 Die, depending on your fitness level,
a pre-planned circuit made up of 4 different compound exercises ( I use Push Ups, Jump Squats, Burpees and Bicycles)
a group of people to make it more exciting.
So you run for the length of 2 power poles. Next up, you'll Roll the Die and perform that many reps of an exercise. You'll then continue this until you complete a pre-planned circuit, and then continue to repeat this sequence throughout the remainder of the run.
This is great metabolic conditioning so it's perfect for weight loss and general fitness. Not only do you get to work on your cardiovascular endurance, but you are also getting a full body resistance workout in the process.
So pretty much what you need to do is this:
Run - for the length of 2 power poles.
Roll - the Die
Reps - Perform that many reps of your next exercise
Repeat - the process advancing to the next exercise in the circuit.
So have a go on your next run, plan out your 4 move circuit and why not drop it in the chat box below. We'd love to hear how you went

Take care and Stay Motivated.
