I YAM WHAT I YAM

If I could wish one thing on anyone, it would be that they explore their own lives, and to be themselves, completely unique, but complete none the less…
One of the biggest limitations to ones personal development is in looking to become the same as somebody else. You will never become the same as anybody else and you should never strive to imitate someone else for this one reason.
Everything that you could ever hope to be, is already inside of you, it simply needs to be refined and fine tuned to a level that is continuously progressing and becomes valuable beyond measure.
The only thing stopping you from becoming the absolute best version of you that you could potentially become is in your ability to demand of yourself a certain standard of behaviour and discipline toward your own life and your commitments.
So what are your standards???
How much does your life matter?
Think about it, when was the last time you told your kids to stop wasting their time (TV, Computer Games, Social Media) and tell them to get out and get active?
When was the last time your told this to yourself?
See you can't change who you are, but you can definitely change your standards. But I don't want you to think of standards as rules, think of them more as versions of self, versions of you…
And which is the best version of you?
For me, it's the Warrior version of myself. This guys virtues revolve around hard work and integrity, loyalty, honesty, honour and contribution just to name a few, and when I am acting out as this version of myself, I have no desire to be lazy, or not look after myself because I want to be a warrior…
Make sense???
Why be one of the millions when you can be one in a million?
You, my friend, have a bucket load of potential… Every single human being that I have ever met in my entire life has had the potential to live an extraordinary, incredible life. But how many do you suppose have decided and committed to journey towards that potential?
It's your life, you own it, along with every single decision that you've ever made and are going to make.
Many people make decisions like this, they go to bed with an idea and a handful of good intentions about taking the required steps and doing what needs to be done in order to take their lives to that next level. They want to achieve that dream, that vision that has played over and over again in their mind, a standard of living that absolutely dominates all over their current excuse for an existence.
Then one of two things happens.
They either wake up early as Mr Conqueror and completely dominate their day, or they cower, hit snooze and tell their lives to 'Eff Off'…
What this second route does is feeds Mr Hopeless, or Captain Suppression, the Master of Depression, and he will order you not to get out of bed and do things differently today. He'll convince you not to go to those places that you don't really wish to go, and stay away from those people that you really don't like being around because the push you into doing things you don't really want to do. Worst of all though, is he's going to convince you to keep eating those rubbish foods that keep you fat and lazy. You see, he's going to convince you every morning that all of those things that you believe as important and that you'd like to actually matter in your life, really don't matter, because he knows that if you decide to get fit and healthy, you'll have no time for Mr Hopeless and that's frightening.
You can only feed one of these two versions of you at a time, so every time you feed into Mr Hopeless, you're going to become more of that version, whereas, every time you wake up as Mr Conqueror and ignore your less empowering version of self, that is then the man who you will begin to transform into.
At the end of the day, what I'm trying to say is, don't try to be somebody else, just be a better version of you.
